Best review management software for small business (2026)

The best review management software for a small business is the one that does the job you actually have: getting more reviews, answering them, catching leads, or running many locations. We compared ten tools and ReplyChamp from each company’s own website, so you can match the tool to the job.

Every price and fact checked on November 4, 2026. Each tool’s comparison page lists its sources.

A disclosure first: we make ReplyChamp, one of the tools on this page. To keep it fair, every fact about the others comes from their own websites (and their G2 and Capterra listings where noted), we say where a price isn’t public instead of guessing, and we say plainly when another tool is the better pick.

Birdeye alternatives

Birdeye is the name most owners start from, so we wrote two pages about it. The Birdeye alternative page compares Birdeye with ReplyChamp in depth, with its contract terms and how to switch. The Birdeye competitors list puts ten tools side by side, from Podium and Yext to SOCi.

What a small business actually needs

Most owners with one or two locations need three things, and only one of them costs money:

  1. A steady flow of new reviews. Ask every customer, with your Google review link and a QR card. Our free review link and QR code tool makes both, and our guide on how to get more Google reviews covers what to say. If you want this automated after every job, that’s when NiceJob or GatherUp earn their price.
  2. A reply to every review. Every reply is public, and the next customer reads it. This is the job ReplyChamp does.
  3. A Google profile that’s current. Hours, photos and services. For one location, a few minutes a month by hand.

Bigger platforms bundle much more: listings across dozens of directories, messaging, phones, payments, surveys. They’re worth it when you’d use most of the bundle. Broadly and Podium make sense if leads are slipping away; Reputation and Yext if you have many locations to keep in step.

How to choose in five questions

  1. What job do you need done? More reviews, replies, leads, or many locations.
  2. Can you see the price before a sales call? Seven of the eleven tools here show one.
  3. How long is the commitment? Look for auto-renewal and notice periods in the terms.
  4. Who approves replies to unhappy reviews? Make sure an angry or sensitive review can’t get an automatic answer.
  5. Can you try it first? GatherUp, NiceJob, Grade.us and ReplyChamp let you start free.

Common questions

What is the best review management software for a small business?

It depends on the job. If you mainly need replies to your Google reviews, a reply tool like ReplyChamp is the cheapest fit. If you need more reviews, NiceJob or GatherUp. If you lose leads, Podium or Broadly. Multi-location brands usually look at Birdeye, Reputation, Yext or SOCi.

What are the best Birdeye alternatives?

For multi-location brands, Reputation, Yext and SOCi. For leads and messaging, Podium and Broadly. For review requests, NiceJob and GatherUp. For agencies, Grade.us. For home services, Signpost. For Google review replies on their own, ReplyChamp.

Which review tools publish their prices?

GatherUp, NiceJob, Grade.us, Reputation, Broadly, Podium and ReplyChamp show prices on their websites. Birdeye, Yext, SOCi and Signpost ask you to talk to sales or request a quote.

Do review management tools lock you into a contract?

Several do. Podium and Broadly use 12-month terms, Signpost a 6-month agreement, and Birdeye’s agreements renew automatically unless you give 90 days’ notice. NiceJob and ReplyChamp have no contract, and GatherUp offers month to month at a higher rate.

Should AI reply to negative reviews automatically?

We don’t think so. An unhappy review deserves a reply the owner has read. GatherUp says it never answers negative reviews automatically, Signpost waits for approval on every reply, and ReplyChamp holds 1–2★ and sensitive reviews for you by default.
