Where to use your link

The more places a customer bumps into it, the more of them leave a review. Ask everyone, in person when you can.

Where people wait

A table tent on every table, a sign by the till, a card in the waiting room. Most people scan while they’re waiting for the bill, their coffee or their change.

In the bag or the box

Slip a receipt insert in with takeout, deliveries and online orders, so the ask arrives with the thing they bought.

In the follow-up message

Paste the link at the end of your thank-you text or email: “Thanks for choosing us today! If you have a minute, a Google review helps other people find us.” Then the link.

When the job is done

Trades and services: hand over a business card when you finish, or show the QR code on your phone. Ask in person; it’s the moment people are most likely to say yes.

Ask everyone, the same way

Google doesn’t allow review gating (only asking customers you expect to be happy) or incentives (discounts, freebies or payment for a review). Ask every customer, and let them say what they think.

Everywhere your customers already look

Your email signature, your website’s contact page, the bottom of an invoice. One link, used everywhere, beats a big push once a year.

Review link questions, answered

What is a Google review link?

It’s a web address that opens the review form for your business on Google, with the stars ready to tap. Customers don’t have to search for you first, so more of the people who mean to leave a review actually do.

How do I find my Google review link?

Type your business name into the search box above and pick it from the list. The tool builds your link from your business’s Google place ID. You can also get a share link from your Business Profile on Google: look for the option to ask for reviews.

Why can’t I find my business?

The search covers businesses on Google Maps in Canada and the United States. Try your business name with your city, or the name exactly as it appears on Google. A brand-new or unverified listing may not show up yet.

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code holds your review link itself, with no redirect through ReplyChamp, so it keeps working whether or not you ever use ReplyChamp. Google can occasionally change a business’s place ID, so scan your printed card now and then to check it still opens your review form.

How do I print the card?

Pick a format, then choose Download print-ready PDF. Your browser’s print window opens: choose Save as PDF to keep a file, or your printer to print it on letter-size paper. Print at 100% (actual size). Receipt inserts print four to a sheet and business cards ten, with grey lines to cut along.

Can I offer a discount or a freebie for a review?

No. Google’s rules don’t allow incentives for reviews, even for honest ones, and they don’t allow review gating, where only happy customers are asked. Ask everyone the same way, and reply to what they write.

Is this free, and do you save anything?

It’s free, with no sign-up. What you type in the search box is sent to Google to find matching businesses; we don’t save your search or the business you pick. The QR code and the card are made in your browser.

What is ReplyChamp?

ReplyChamp drafts a reply to each new Google review in your own voice. Auto-reply is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it on after you’ve approved 10 drafts; by default it then posts replies to reviews of 3 stars and up, and sensitive reviews always wait for your approval. It’s $15 per location per month, and your first 10 replies are free, with no card needed.

Who is ReplyChamp for?

Owners who look after their own business’s Google profile. It isn’t built for agencies managing other people’s businesses.
